I will be honest. Before my first trip to Disney World, I had never seen Avatar, and I was still in awe of the World of Pandora in Animal Kingdom.

Tips for Hosting a Disney Movie Marathon with Your Family
- Make It a Countdown:
Build the excitement by watching one Disney movie each night in the weeks leading up to your trip. You could start with a classic, then move into the more specific films related to the parks you’ll visit. - Themed Snacks:
Bring the movies to life with creative snacks that match each film. For example, for Finding Nemo, serve blue Jello or Frozen could be paired with snow cone treats. Let each movie inspire a fun, themed snack, whether it’s orange cupcakes for Tangled (because of the lanterns) or pirate-shaped cookies for Pirates of the Caribbean. - Dress Up or Wear Ears:
Have the kids wear their favorite Disney gear—Mickey ears, princess dresses, or superhero costumes—during movie night. You can even match the outfit to the movie you’re watching for extra fun, like a Frozen night with Elsa costumes or a Star Wars night with Jedi robes. - Create a Bingo Card:
Make a bingo card for your family to mark off things as they appear during the movies, like characters, songs, or iconic quotes. For example, for The Lion King, you could mark off “Hakuna Matata,” Simba, and the elephant graveyard. This keeps kids engaged and adds a little friendly competition to movie night. - Use Disney+ Playlists:
Take advantage of Disney+ playlists—official or fan-curated- that include all the movies you want to watch. This makes it super easy to organize your marathon and ensures you’ve got the right movies lined up for the countdown. - Involve the Kids:
Let the kids help create the movie lineup or pick which snacks to make. Not only will this make them feel more involved, but it also ensures you’ll be watching movies they’re excited about. You can even ask them to vote on movies for certain nights if you can’t decide! - Printable Movie List:
