Hey there, fellow memory-makers and adventure enthusiasts!
My name is Haley and welcome to my blog.
I’m about to take you on a rollercoaster ride through the wild and wonderful world of family travel.
As the self-proclaimed “Chief Memory Maker” in our household, I have embarked on many escapades with my two rambunctious kids, Clara and Parker. Let me tell you, it’s been a chaotic and rewarding journey!
Now, if you’re like me, you’ve probably daydreamed about taking your family on incredible vacations, only to be rudely awakened by the reality of limited time, budget constraints, and the logistical nightmare of traveling with kids.
I have been there. Life is busy and there can be a lot of anxiety just thinking about traveling with your kids.
The logistics, the change in routine, and the packing can all make us think twice about taking that family vacation.
Don’t worry! I’m here to prove that even amidst the chaos and calamity, family travel can be made not only obtainable but can actually(dare I say it) fun!
You can survive and thrive amid travel chaos, armed with nothing but a sense of humor and a good stash of snacks.
As we journey together, I’ll share practical tips on how to make family travel more obtainable.
We’ll delve into the art of finding affordable accommodations that are both kid-friendly and parent-approved (yes, they do exist, and no, it’s not a unicorn myth).
We’ll explore budget-friendly destinations that will have your family making memories without breaking the bank or sacrificing the college fund.
Why me?
Why should you trust me and my recommendations?
Because I am just like you and I have done about every facet of family travel there is.
We took my son on his first long road trip when he was 3 weeks old. We flew with our daughter for the first time cross country when she was 4 months old.
We have explored Europe together as a family taking public transportation and experiencing train travel.
We have taken over 7 cruises together as a family both to the Caribbean and the Mediterranean.
We have traveled locally, exploring unique places close to our hometown.
We have tackled Disneyworld numerous times before our kids were even walking.
We have done all this as ordinary, normal people, on a regular middle-class budget, working normal full-time jobs.
I want to EMPOWER your “ordinary” family to do the same. I want you to be your family’s very own memory maker.
Join me,
Haley Gleason
